Packline Theme Documentation
Packline theme documentation
Packline is an Online Store 2.0 theme for labels, stickers, custom packaging, print products, starter kits, and proof-led B2B quoting.
Install and first setup
- Upload the Packline theme ZIP in Online Store > Themes.
- Keep the theme unpublished while you configure it.
- Set the logo, favicon, fonts, colors, page width, social links, and quote destination in Theme settings.
- Assign the main menu and footer menu in the Header and Footer sections.
- Select collections and products in the homepage product sections.
- Preview home, collection, product, search, cart, contact, password, and gift-card templates before publishing.
Product setup
Use Shopify products and variants for customer-selectable options such as color, material, finish, size, or pack quantity. Add at least two product images to enable the product-card image swap. Product cards automatically expose eligible color-like variant options as accessible swatches.
Packline supports product media, variants, compare-at prices, unit prices, quantity rules, selling plans, accelerated checkout, payment terms, pickup availability, gift-card recipient fields, related products, and app blocks.
Packaging metafields
Create product metafields in Settings > Custom data > Products using the namespace custom and these keys: material, finish, moq, proof_time, production_note, quote_route, and artwork_required. The product section also includes editable fallback values.
Quote workflow
The native quote form progressively guides buyers through contact details, product specifications, and delivery/artwork status. It uses Shopify's contact form and remains fully usable when JavaScript is unavailable. Add an app block or Custom Liquid block for a merchant-owned upload service or quote backend. Packline does not transmit files to a private theme-vendor service.
Images and merchandising
Use authentic, high-resolution product images that show scale, material, finish, application, and approved proof details. Set image focal points in Shopify where available. Keep text out of essential image content and provide meaningful alt text.
Accessibility and localization
Packline includes keyboard navigation, visible focus styles, reduced-motion support, labeled controls, 44px primary touch targets, screen-reader status announcements, localized storefront labels, country/language selectors, and responsive layouts. Merchants remain responsible for accessible uploaded content, color choices, app blocks, menus, and product descriptions.
Frequently asked questions
Does Packline include a live design editor?
No. Use a compatible Shopify app block or merchant-owned customization service when a live canvas editor is required.
Does the theme calculate a final custom-production price?
Shopify variants can show fixed sample or starter prices. Complex production pricing should be confirmed through the quote workflow or a compatible pricing app.
Can I upload artwork through the native form?
Shopify's native contact form does not provide file upload. Add an app block or Custom Liquid integration for a service you control.
How do I show color swatches?
Create a product option named Color, Colour, Finish, Material, or Style. Attach variant media where possible.
How do I get support?
Use the Sevensnail contact page and include your store URL, Packline version, affected template, steps to reproduce, and screenshots. Do not send customer payment data or passwords.
Support scope
Support covers reproducible theme defects, installation questions, documented settings, and compatibility with current Shopify theme APIs. It does not include custom app development, third-party app defects, merchant content entry, production artwork approval, or custom pricing logic.
